Parking Talstation Frümsen-Staubern

The mountain railway from Frümsen to Staubern is the world’s first mountain railway to operate in an energy-independent and environmentally neutral manner. Electricity is generated by a solar power system and rechargeable batteries. In less than eight minutes, it travels from the Rhine Valley up to Staubern, climbing 1,250 meters in elevation. At the top, guests can enjoy specialties from the Rhine Valley and the Appenzell region, as well as a unique panoramic view spanning four countries.
